A great name in Ramayana for love and fidelity-
That is Sabari who was Sri Ram’s devotee.
She showed a new way of love and devotion.
Sabari longed to see Sri Ram her beloved deity.
Day after day she plucked flowers from jungle
And adorned the way by beautiful flowers
and waited for her god’s arrival.
At last the auspicious day came in her days.
One bright day Sri Ram entered in her cottage-
While walking through the forest with Lakshman
In quest of Devi Sita who was missing sudden.
Sabari was stunned to see Ram and lakshman-
She could not believe his eyes but when-
She realized Sri Ram has truly come
She welcomed and talked with them.
And requested to take seats in cushion.
Sabari brought some plums to feed them.
She thought that the plums may be sour
And should not offer sour plums to the dear.
As there was no other things to offer
She took taste of plums by her tongue
And offered sweet plums to her dear.
Sri Ram was charmed by her intension.
But Ram the god knew the heart of his fan
He gladly accepted plums and ate with content.
Lakshman also followed Ram and ate the same.
Sri Ram was surprised by the love of this fan
He met many devotees but Sabari was the exception.
